iPhones and oil spills. It's what makes the world go 'round.

I suffer from iphone envy. It's been time honored tradition to be envious. I guess you could say it's a "generational" thing.

Oh, I just kill, don't I?

Don: Maybe they could plug the spill with iPhones?
nonamedufus said…
Quirks: Yes, you do!

What? BP has never heard of a Vice-Grip??
nonamedufus said…
00dozo: Yeah! Canadian Tire or Home Hardware has some great new tools! Good idea!

BP is so stupid. All they have to do is plug the damned hole with Oprah.

Geeze. It's so obvious.

Bwahahaha. I can't stop laughing at Deb's comment. And I agree. Oprah's big mouth would probably cover the pipe.

I love the cartoons. My favorite was the sign at the gas pumps.

Deb: Hey, there you go. Lord knows she's big enough!

Leeuna: The sign at the gas pumps was making it's way around the internet last week. Don't know if it's photoshopped or not but it's ironic.
I love the dead pelican one. HI-larious!

Vodka and Ground Beef: That's pretty much the state of affairs. They've tried almost everything else.

When they run out of dead pelicans, maybe they can round up some spotted owls.

Chris: I think one mother humpback whale ought to do it.

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy!  You know what happens on Imagination D
