Sometimes Relationships Can Be Complicated

Women. Sometimes you can't live with them. And sometimes you can't live with them. Don't get me wrong. I love my wife. Madly. And I simply can't live without her. But if I were to believe everything I read I'd think women are...how shall I put this? Flighty? Two articles I came across last week gave me pause. And good thing for me that anything that gives me pause usually ends up in a post on my blog. And men, consider this a public service. Oh, yes, I'm more than happy to share with you helpful hints I've found to make your lives easier...no, no, no strike that...make your relationships more rewarding. The first article was headlined "Women think blokes who are 'too nice' are cheating" . Now c'mon. Get real. But no. A study found that two thirds of women surveyed became suspicious if their partner made grand romantic gestures. What kind of gestures? Well, here are the top 20: 1.            Buys jewellery 2.  ...

Pudding Your Dessert Where Your Waist Is

What's your favourite part of a meal at a restaurant? I'd have to say mine is dessert. And more often than not that dessert involves chocolate. A meal at a restaurant is nice once in a while. It frees your wife or girlfriend from spending hours preparing a dinner only to see it vanish in under 10 minutes. And you can take your time with your better half. An evening of quality time spent in a chic bistro, sipping a nice chablis for her, gulping a couple of Coronas for me. A knowing wink, a subtle nod in anticipation of what might come later...snuggling up close together, looking deep into one another's eyes, then gazing intently at...the dessert menu. What the heck did you think I was talking about. That stuff's not suitable for a blog. And if I wrote about it as often as I got it? Well, let's just say my posts would be, um, intermittent? Any way, back to the restaurant and...dessert. Did you know that 7 in 10 women take at least 20 minutes to decide wh...

Catch Him And Keep Him

I don't know who the heck Christian Carter is or, for that matter, what made me click on his link on one of those news sites. Maybe because something with the headline "Catch Him And Keep Him" just didn't seem very newsy. It kinda stood out against stories about Greece's economy tanking and occupiers occupying my patience. Be that as it may, Mr. Carter promises to "...give you the inside scoop on what men are really thinking..." Well, maybe that's what made me click. After all, it's no secret what men are thinking...NOTHING! That's right. If you thought the male mind was a complicated and delicate thing that you needed help to crack I've got news for you. There's only one thing on a man's mind. And if he's lucky he gets it once a week...SUNDAY FOOTBALL. There's no need to pay Christian Carter (probably not even his real name) for his materials. I can tell you what's going through a man's mind...FOR FREE. ...

Men Are In And Out, No Messing About

We interrupt this blog with breaking news, the very import of which is sure to rattle the foundations of contemporary society as we have come to know it. Are you ready? Are you sitting down? Men are better shoppers than women! You heard it here first. Men, give yourselves a pat on the back. If you are in the company of other men...chest-bump. Who knew. Personally I detest shopping. But then when I stop to think of it I detest it because I usually go shopping with my wife. And shopping with the wife can be a long and arduous process because we're not shopping for US. We're shopping for HER. My idea of shopping is going on-line to Amazon.com. Hell, I don't even have to leave home, let alone the couch. But a study released last week revealed that even though women shop more frequently, they're more likely to come home empty-handed after a shopping trip. (Whew!) Big surprise there. They've already got everything they already need. My wife's closet(s) can attest to t...
