A little bit of housekeeping before we get to this week's winner. This will be the last Pause Ponder and Pun for a little while. In fact this will be my last post for a while. And that's not all. You may not see me for a bit on Facebook or Twitter.  This will be interesting. Easier said than done but that's my intent. Nothing's wrong. Things couldn't be better, in fact. But a couple of trips with Christmas in the middle means real life will put me out of cyberspace commission well into January. So we'll see you sometime in the new year. I think if Marv Albert were providing a caption this week all he would have said was "Yessss!" Or Dick Vitale would have dedescribed this as " a dipsy-doo Dunk-a-roo ". Hey, alright! You found me. Not like I didn't leave enough hints on Facebook and Google+. Some might have gotten tired of all that repetition but hey, that's what's known as marketing. Which reminds me I've gotta pick up some milk, bread and beer today. Almost a year ago - it was November 2012 - I retired Pause Ponder and Pun. Hey, there's only so many funny pictures on the internet - that aren't cats - crying out for a caption. Well, guess what? We're bringing it back! I checked and there's a whole bunch of new pictures out there just screaming for your captions. So, same deal as before. I'll run a pic on Wednesday, you leave a comment, the winner will be posted Saturday. *Tell 'em what they'll win, Johnny* I'll post the top three captions and the winner gets that dufus badge up there. Captioners are standing by. Only two days until PPP. No, I'm not incontinent. I'm talking about the return of Pause Ponder and Pun, my caption contest. We're yanking it out of the closet dusting it off and ready to run a whole new series of weird and wonderful photos for your captioning pleasure. We intend to give that Screaming MeMe a run for her money. She can't be the only one in the blogosphere to run a caption contest. So she and I have agreed to give you a caption couplet every Wednesday. Just like old times. Tune in every Wednesday, then, for a chance to win my badge. You could soon be a member of that elite group that's hangin' with dufus!

Well, I guess that's one way of dusting the stair railing. I hope she didn't hurt herself. We had all of two submissions this week. I think everyone else was cleaning up after Sandy. Hey, maybe this is Sandy. Now we know why she's so exhausted. First, moooooog gave us... 150? Well that's a bit of a milestone isn't it? Who knew when I started out with PPP we'd hit such an anniversary. And considering I didn't start numbering these things until I was well into them I've posted somewhere between 3 and 4 years of these pics for your enjoyment. What do you think, should I continue on?
