Tigers and Bunnies and Cats - Oh My!

Well, that was one odd picture this week but our contestants lived up to expectations and came up with some equally odd captions. I thought we might've had some "Latest Tiger Woods Sex Threesome Uncovered" type of captions but then not everyone thinks like I do.

Some of my favourites this week include:

Moooooog who came up with:

...and that's why no one wanted to go over to the Richardson's for 'family game night'.

Me-Me King submitted:

Blain's father hangs his head in shame when his mother tells him selling the "family jewels" would be necessary to save their mobile home

Quirkyloon went the sentimental route with:

Everybunny loves somebunny sometimes

Some kids make their parents proud. Others, not so much.

But how fitting is it that it was CatLadyLarew who came through with the winner with

Dufus could only shake his head and wonder "Why?", as his brother Jim models his Halloween costume for his mom.

Congrats Cat Lady. You be hangin' with dufus!

Quirks: In fact, she was near purr-fect.
I came out of my self-imposed hiding for a moment only to see this photo... just couldn't resist. Hope Jim doesn't take me off his Christmas list because of this! Always a privilege to hang with the Dufus!

CatLady: WTG CL. As a regular I loved how you carried the theme over from last week. I thought your caption was hilarious. Who cares what Jim thinks. Let him get his own blog!

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy!  You know what happens on Imagination D
