Sunday Funnies

There was plenty for editorial cartoonists to make fun of last week... Who am I kidding? There was really only one story anybody was interested in last week. It was everywhere...

Is it just me or are there others that really don't give a shit who kissed Tiger's balls for luck and made his putter stand up?

It's not over yet either. I've heard some say that his wife would never divorce him? Are they nuts?! She would come out of any settlement with an absolute fortune! Plus, she'd get rid of the great infidel.

Me-Me: It's not just you. Sadly there are more not like you.

Don: She may come away with more if she stays. Weird, eh? He'll pay her in order to protect his endorsements. Ain't love grand?

And don't you love it when the "media" asks the question? "Should the media leave Tiger Woods alone? Isn't this his private business?"

Ha!

Quirks: Geez, Entertainment Tonight would be out of business if they left him alone.

Christiejolu: I don't understand how people can be so interested in every salacious detail. I'm tired of it and could care less. What's that? 5 mistresses? You're kidding!?

At least we now know for sure that his putting is better than his driving.

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy!  You know what happens on Imagination D
