30 Days of Photos IV - Day 7 - Seven

Well, we've made it through the first week of the challenge. Only 23 more days to go.

I'm celebrating.

Or drowning my sorrows.

At this point - after 7 beers - I don't really care.

And I'm sure dear Ziva has some fabulous photographic representation to demonstrate seven. I eight when that happens.

Count yourself lucky that Ziva and her infernal blog will direct you to the rest of the photographers.

My grandmother talked just like that. Sober.

I love your seven beer bottles. Corona was a fizzy drink, that came in various fruity flavours, in the UK, not a beer.

I'm with you. I decide which beer to drink on a case by case basis.

You will, no doubt, have the funniest photo today.

Lol, why didn't I think of that?

Oh, I can still talk. But nowadays alcohol just puts me to sleep. I hope I wake up in time for football tomorrow.

Ah, a traditional Quebec breakfast! Nicely done, mon ami. And it's nice that you are celebrating this wonderful challenge. I agree it's just so much fun.

Yuck. Over here they're mixing beer with things like ice tea, lemonade and lime. Bleck.
nonamedufus said…
Heh, heh, yeah. I always have some on hand, in case I run out.

There's nothing funny about 30 Days of Photos. Especially with 23 days still to go. I drink to forget. But I better not forget to drink.

What, it's not enough I have to take pictures but now I have to answer questions too?

It's a good thing we can buy beer at the corner store in Quebec. I won't drink and drive so Mrs D doesn't have far to go to keep me supplied. If you notice my photos starting to get a little out of focus next week, you'll know why.

I have always disliked beer. I think it smells like I imagine urine to taste. Don't ask me how I came up with that idea. I don't know ha ha! Beer and lemonade 50/50 is a refreshing drink. I actually have drunk that, but about 25% beer 75% lemonade though.

I'm not big on wine or alcohol. Beer's my drink. But just beer. Not mixed with something else. That'd be sacreligious.

"Take one down, pass it around...." It's scary that you started with 99.

Yeah, that was lame, but at least your photo wasn't!

I don't think 7 beers are enough.
nonamedufus said…
And I've only had 7. I have a ways to go yet.
nonamedufus said…
Me either. I'll "hop" right to the task of having more.
nonamedufus said…
Thank you, Agent 54. It was a daunting task but I think I was up to it.

Corona used to be my VERY favorite beer! Man I miss it!

Too bad I'm now allergic to barley malt, and hops. *sad face*
Much more of this and we're going to have to switch to Seagram's 7 Crown.

A day without liquor is like a day without sunshine. Or something like that.
nonamedufus said…
A good Canadian whiskey. Although back in the day when I liked rye I used to drink Canadian Club.

Gesunheidt, Paula!
Allergies, smallergies... pass the Corona!
nonamedufus said…
Oh I hope toad isn't an upcoming prompt.
nonamedufus said…
Here, here. Cheers!
Ziva said…
You started without me? How very rude.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, but I'll keep going until you get here.

See, my theory is coming true. The longer this challenge goes on, the more alcohol is consumed.
nonamedufus said…
A woman after my own heart...and beer.
nonamedufus said…
Excuse me? Oh, yeah. Someone once said we only rent beer.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, I think we should have a party on Day 30. That is if we're still standing.

The Corona's on me! No literally I spilled a bottle in my lap.
Getting an early start, eh?

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy! ...

I Am Charlie, I'm A Bore

Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Colin Farrel...you know the list, it goes on and on. The list of Hollywood hick-ups who not content to meltdown behind closed doors have to drag each and every detail out into the light of day and share it with all of us. Well, add Charlie Sheen to that luckless and lascivious list of losers. In the past few days he's been on every major media soapbox complaining abut how he's been treated and how he's misunderstood. Last night he spent an hour on ABC's 20/20 "in his own words". Charlie, you should have stuck to the script. "I have a highly evolved brain". You know I never did like that song by Helen Reddy in the 70s "I Am Woman". But I have to say the melody really leant itself well to a parody of Hollywood's latest flame-out, Charlie Sheen. Although I never thought I'd hear myself say this, my sincerest apologies to Helen Reddy. And now if you're ready (a little play on wor...
