I agree! How about we start the 30 Days of Beer challenge? A different beer each day. You know what? That started off as a joke but turned into a really good idea.
nonamedufus said…
Hell, it can even be the same beer and it doesm't have to be one a day.
nonamedufus said…
Yes, thank god it's done. Not a moment too soon.
nonamedufus said…
Hey, Jackal said that. But thanks.
I am grinning ear to ear.... I just love it!

Perfect for Octoberfest!

Yeah, I've started breathing normally again.

Thanks, Dufus. So have you!

Gosh, thanks again!

Oh, that's actually very clever. Much like everything you do, especially when you're inspired by Ziva, who can be quite inspiring what with the ice cream, shadows, and lover photos, not to mention the whip. It's fire and ice with her, that's all I can say.

Thanks for playing, NoName, especially when you had to visit the emergency room. That's dedication above and beyond the norm. But then, nothing about you is normal, is it? ;-)

I'm in!

Great picture and very smart interpretation. I thought you'd be circling October 13th though!

That is NICE! It's so much prettier than my hand-written numbered list, also with checkmarks! Oh, and where would most of the world be without smart phones? Dumb, I guess.

Hee Hee.

I'm glad I finally found my way to your blog on a consistent basis. This was a lot of fun!

Hahahaha! I LOVE that! Beautifully done.
nonamedufus said…
Oh, I just thought you wanted to thank me twice!
nonamedufus said…
Nope, that's why they call me Nonormaldufus. Oh, wait, you're the only one that called me that. And actually you didn't in so many words. Despite my griping I really enjoy this "challenge". You and Ziva in particular are terrific photographers. The rest of us try to limp along contextualizing our dopey photos with a bit of a write up. But it's a lot of fun. Thanks to you and Ziva for making it so.
nonamedufus said…
Oh that's another calendar entirely. Looking forward to it.

I had to photocopy a list. I couldn't keep going back to Day 1 minus 1 to find out what the heck I was supposed to take a picture of each day. Hey, I was born long before computers!

And I'm glad you made your way over Reffie. I loved your comments each day.

Thank you, Ma'am. You gave me one of my favourite posts in the challenge - Tolstoy. Your Blood On The Tracks reference was brilliant. (That's what they say in the UK, eh, brilliant?)
nonamedufus said…
Sure? Have you got 32oz beer mug you can bring?
Jay of The Depp Effect said…
Wow, really? Thank you! :)

Yes indeed we do say 'brilliant'. Among other things, that is, like 'heavens above!' and 'gosh'. Yes, some of us really do say 'gosh' sometimes. It shows our age, I suppose. Of course, I also say a lot of other things, too, some of which would do credit to a sailor.

When you look at it all laid out like that, Ice Cream looks so very far away. But it is because it's been a long road. Nice way to tie it all up, Dufus.
Jay of The Depp Effect said…
Well, you guys say things like trunk and toque! And I know perfectly well what chips are, thank you. They're what you get in your car's paintwork if you drive too fast over a freshly laid road!

Or those potato thingies you can eat. I have to say, you guys make good chips. I like the ones with ripples in them.
So THAT's how you did it! I really have to get me one of them there calendar thingies before the next challenge rolls around. It's been fun, my friend!

Paula I loved visiting your place every day. It was one of the highlights of the challenge. You stuck to the reno and you stuck to using it cover every prompt. Well done.
Lauren said…
hahahha - well said. I loved punning with you.
Traci Shannon said…
Nice! It's been great visiting you and your happily ever after photos.

It was pun fun wasn't it?
nonamedufus said…
Right back atchya, Traci.
nonamedufus said…
It was a tough haul at times but it was fun nonetheless.
nonamedufus said…
Well, the feeling's mutual!
I am persistent... if nothing else. Now, about that kitchen...
nonamedufus said…
Or fun pun, or some pun fun under the gun, or... well you get the idea.

That's another way of putting it.

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy!  You know what happens on Imagination D
