30 Days of Photos IV - Day 29 - Circle

This is the same park where I found The Man With Two Hats for my photo on Day 18. It's near Dow's Lake and in the spring is full of gorgeous tulips from one end to the other.

But the tulips are long gone in the fall. Nevertheless the gardens are full of gorgeous flowers.

In the centre of the park is this circle garden.

Hey it's round.

I took the picture.

I met the prompt.

Now leaf me alone.

Don't walk around in circles like I did. Take a straight line over to Ziva's garden and see what everyone else planted today.

I find today's theme, circle, pointless.

Looks like a very peaceful setting.

That's a well rounded description of your park.

You're right, in a roundabout way, I suppose.

Aw, geez, everyone's a comedian now. Nice one, Babs.

Evil Twin told me to sing "Ring around the Tulips." Um...that doesn't sound quite right. :)

That is one pretty garden!
If I ever left my house, I'd probably be able to find better photos for these prompts. This one is lovely... and fits. Not #teamlame at all!

One more post and we leaf you alone. Nice Circle.
Actually I think this is very unique and a great take on circle!

You're such a goof. It's a beautiful photo and wonderful for this prompt.

No that doesn't sound exactly right, Reffie.

Aw, and I wanted to hang with the lame kids.

The root of the problem is this challenge is 30 days.

Well, thank you, Katherine. The flowers weren't in full bloom but there was still come colour to be had.
nonamedufus said…
I work hard at it. It doesn't come naturally you know.

I feel like we're going around the bend. Nice park and nice shot.

With this prompt today I feel like I'm running round in circles.

That is a beautiful garden and it is a circle. A win, win. Actually, I'm green with envy.

After 29 days a lot of us have gone round the bend, Mike.

Everyone's so punny today. What's going on?

Such a pretty park. When are you going to invite me over for a picnic?

We are blessed in the Ottawa region with greenbelt areas, bike paths, canals, and gorgeous gardens. It really is a beautiful area.

Oh, and you can stop in for a picnic any time. You have an open invitation.

That is a really beautiful photograph! Well done, John!

PS: I’m sorry I’m so late to comment – I missed the last 2 days of the challenge because I’ve been having a terrible flare up. But I am trying my best to catch up with all of the posts I’ve missed!

Thanks, Meleah. I hope you're feeling better. You're quite the trooper.

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy!  You know what happens on Imagination D
