Hahaha! Those about sum the week in news up for sure. BTW, our seafood, especially shrimp right now, is as good as always so far. In fact, many fish species being caught are very large due to the earlier ban on fishing. Sweeeet!

Don: Hey, Don, that's great news. Put me down for some shrimp, eh? Funny how some good actually comes from such a friggin' disaster.

Kelly: Well, I look for the funniest out there. Some editorial cartoonists are just hilarious.

Brahm: Hey, how's my Studio30+ buddy? Some cartoonists had a lot of fun over that Jet Blue incident. They guy actually wanted his job back. I never heard the end of the story.

Those are great!

But I'm still glad I'm allergic to seafood. That way I can hide my cowardice. Just wouldn't be worth the risk, ya know?

What's the best gulf food you happen to see?
Courtesy of BP, oily tuna of the sea!

Quirks: Allergic to seafood? Poor you. Oh, well Starkist wasn't looking for tuna with good taste, but that tasted good. Sorry, Quirky!

Great minds think alike again. I used the Tea Partier/"We the People..." one on my Sunday piece about the Mosque controversary.

Jayne: That was a good one wasn't it. Do you think this mosque thing is all a tempest in a Tea pot? (heh, heh)

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy!  You know what happens on Imagination D
