30 Days of Photos - Day 21 - Anatomy

I took this at my doctor's office this week.

Gee, looks like I'm back on #teamlame.

And I was doing so well, too.

It's like me on the inside.

You don't want to see me on the outside.

Really.

Now get on over to Ziva's and check out her anatomy.

I like both the inside and the outside of you, Dufus.
That's really cool how you're blue on top and red on the bottom. Who knew?
nonamedufus said…
Aw, Ziva, you always say just the right thing. Thanks.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, I blow hot and cold. Funny how my bottom half is hot.
nonamedufus said…
I could have. But I didn't.

Ah, a little lame there.
This is a bit of a sad post.

I'm just glad you're not blue and red on the outside. Eek!

I think I'd prefer to see the outside of you :)

They all can't be winners. But the posters fit the prompt. And that's the important thing.

Imagine trying to scrub that off, eh?

Yes, I like your guts, too! But I think your outside appearance is much more preferable to seeing your innards. I've seen what animals do to exposed innards. Ugh.

The best part of this post are the "You might also likes" posted below with your Dammit, Jim, I'm a Blogger Not a Photographer. Touche~

Well, thank you, Reffie. Yeah I guess the flies would have a field day if I went around with my innards hangin' out.

Oh, that brings back memories and makes me wonder why the hell I got involved in 30 Days of Photos IV.

YAY! #teamlame!

I had NO CLUE what to use for today's theme.

I guess this makes you the poster boy.

A-ha-ha-ha. Good one, Mike.

reminds me of being back at school in biology class

That's a very good description. These are actually posters from drug companies. My doc's examination rooms are full of them.

Nothing wrong with that; it's an anatomy chart, the prompt is 'anatomy', therefore I think you have a winner!
nonamedufus said…
Well, thanks, Jay. I appreciate it.

Well, they can't all be gems.

You, however, are perfect inside and out. And no, that's not me asking you for a date.
I love how in this photo challenge we see something that would work and take the picture, no matter where we are! LOVE IT!

It makes perfect sense to take pictures at the doctor's office. There's usually a bad crop of magazines. I love taking pictures while waiting for the doctor ito enter the exam room. I take pictures of the charts on the wall. It's a hobby.
nonamedufus said…
My doctor really should get some better posters.
nonamedufus said…
Indeed. Nothing fancy. But it fits the prompt.
nonamedufus said…
Lauren, there's something not right about you.
Cheryl P. said…
I am sure your outside is nicer that the pictures of the insides. No one could argue that you didn't get a really good picture for the prompt.

It's the outside that makes us. We all look the same on the inside.

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy! ...

Hello Goodbye

Today a bit of a reflective piece. Rather than being funny, this is  about the funny. It's a day of mixed emotion at nonamedufus . You see, after several months of inactivity I've dropped a couple of former blogger buddies off my blog roll. I kept hanging on and hanging on hoping they'd return to active blogging but, alas, after waiting in one case five months I've decided to let them go. I'm going to miss - going to? I have been missing - Margo at the Screaming Me-Me . She was one funny lady. From time to time she and I would engage in a feud or two for several days at a time but it was all in fun both for us and, I think, for our readers. And we'd leave each other funny comments, poking fun at each other. I miss her friendship and our humorous exchanges. The other blogger I'm letting go is Chelle, The Offended Blogger . Chelle was a special lady. In addition to her own blog she created and managed Humor Bloggers Dot Com where humour bloggers like m...

The Dangling Conversation

There's a debate underway in my household between my wife and I. I say "underway" because it hasn't quite reached the "raging" stage. If you want raging, my wife (a Francophone) and I (an Anglophone) from time to time (usually in a weak moment of my own making) slip into our number one discussion around why we don't speak more French at home - ergo - when am I, a former public servant who learned French at the expense of our gracious taxpayers and was technically rated bilingual (even though I hardly used it), going to improve my use of Canada's other language? This one never gets resolved, hence it's ongoing nature. But the current debate is over a remark I casually made the other day. I'm no geek, but with a lot of time on my hands I surf the web, converse on Facebook and such and - I have to admit - "I'm nonamedufus and I'm a Twitterholic". In an epiphany-like moment I was struck by the apparent impact of social networkin...
