It's a wonderful time for political satirists and cartoonists! Quebec's giving Americans a run for their money this week, but I still have to say the first one is my favorite.
This is going to surprise you...

...in two ways.

First, I like a Canadian cartoon, the Star Trek one..

...and I like a second one, the fatwa on maple syrup, too for a tie this week for my favorite cartoon. They both made LOL. :)

Thanks, John, for the laughs and see you later on the gridiron. :)

Canada's stance on Iran is confusing - but that is for the Iranian People to Decide.

Clinton's speech was huge in many ways - I liked watching him.
One point he said:"when asked the Republicans about which loop holes in the tax code they will plug, they say, 'see me after the election'

The camera cuts to some people who are visibly "shocked" !

Come on, are you living under a rock or doing this to get on TV ?

Quebec - Oh boy ! Here we go again !

Pinocchio - My favourite.

I liked that first one too, Paula. And yes, the Quebec election provided plenty of fodder for Canadian cartoonists this week.

Hey Dufus! A nice cross-section here, I salute your partisan spread. Still, the ones about the GOP made me laugh, especially The Good, The Bad and The Ugly! Indigo

I knew I'd finally get you. I think I may have acclimatized you to Canadian issues. Now all you have to do is move here.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, Jaffer, I think Clinton faired much better than Clint and his empty chair.

A provincial election in Canada and 2 political conventions in the States made for some pretty great material for editorial cartoonists on both sides of the border, Indigo.

Yep, that accurately sums things up. LOL! Funny stuff.

Oh, it was a pretty whacky week, Lauren

I love the woman choosing Michelle or Ann instead. Nice way to recap the week, Dufus.

Thanks, Nicky. Nice to see you talking to me again.

I never stopped talking to you, silly man! It's just that you couldn't hear me over all the noise at the airport... oh, wait, never mind.

Paroxysm Paradox

The weather was unseasonably warm for October. The sun set around 6:30 but the daylight hours were quite enjoyable. So thought Richard, as he set out for his daily walk in the woods. He marvelled at the turning leaves which exhibited an explosion of colour more significant with each passing day.

But Richard knew the turning leaves would soon start to fall. And the trees would soon be bare with no leaves at all. And then the snow would fly and fall from the trees as the leaves had before it.

Richard couldn't help but think of the sudden change to come as a seizure of sorts. And he wasn't looking forward to it. After all, who would welcome a seizure, he thought, as he rolled uncontrollably among the leaves.

This week paroxysm/seizure was the prompt at Two Word Tuesday.

Times Are So Tough...
