30 Days of Photos - # 27 - Nude

Welcome to 30 Days of Photos, where 18 bloggers are participating in posting a photo a day for 30 days. Here are the other 17 you can visit after you've been here:

Well look at him.

Guess who?

Yeah that's me about 59 years ago.

I took a picture of that picture a couple of days ago.

Hey you didn't want to see a picture of a nude 59 year old man, did you?

Trust me. You don't.

It's appropriate I'm in my birthday suit.

Tomorrow's my birthday!

The big 6-0!

Your blogging anniversary and your birthday all in one week? How lucky can one guy get? Hope it's not a kick in the head. :)

You're adorable, dufus, and I bet you don't look a day older even as you're turning 60.

Well.. maybe a day.

What a cutie you were! I think in honor of turning 60 you should have recreated the photo and posted both of them!!!

Ya know, I've got this great B&W photo of one of my brothers that's just adorable. I thought about using it but I didn't take it. D'oh! I could have done this.

::bangs head on wall::

Terrific idea and love the results.

Okay, I LOVE this photo of a necked Dufus! I am so glad that your mother had enough sense to take some necked photos of you. And by the way, you were just adorable! Happy Almost Birthday, you young thang, you!
nonamedufus said…
Oh, and I'll be kicking until my dying day.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, maybe a day. But I'm still adorable.
nonamedufus said…
Thanks, Meleah. Too bad we have to get old(er).
nonamedufus said…
Were? Some think I'm still a cutie. Athough they just haven't told me lately.
nonamedufus said…
Thanks, Cheryl. Beats me taking a snap of myself today! You wouldn't want to see that, believe me.
nonamedufus said…
I seem to be having a really good time, too.
nonamedufus said…
Thanks, Liz. I'm kinda getting used to the idea.
nonamedufus said…
Well we better hurry up Linda. Tomorrow I'll be 60.
nonamedufus said…
Thanks, Cheryl. Glad you like the pic.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, I kinda thought so. Nice how that worked out.
nonamedufus said…
Thanks, Quirks. It'll be a fun day, I'm sure.
nonamedufus said…
Hey, what can I say. There was a time when necked worked for me.

You look incredibly happy in that photograph, NoName. I hope you feel just as happy tomorrow, when you turn 60. I doubt you will, because 60 is super-old. And I would know because I'm still in my early 50s.
Cheryl said…
Not nice, Michael, not nice at all.
Cheryl said…
Did you notice you have some schmutz on your forehead?
meleahrebeccah said…
Getting older = sucks!
nonamedufus said…
Oh, but I am happy.I made it to 60! And, hey, your turn will come my friend.
nonamedufus said…
Right on, Cheryl. You tell him. Although, I think he knows.
nonamedufus said…
Well, yeah. That's why I'm having a bath, silly.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, but at least I'm still here!
nonamedufus said…
Amen to that. And hopefully for many more years yet.
Linda Medrano said…
Shucks! I'm too old for you, my dear Dufus!
nonamedufus said…
Really? There's someone out there older than I am?
59? You look sub-one. Wait, I misread that, y'know, keeping an eye on the kettle and all that...I can actually see a resemblance between you and how I imagine you might look at 59. I think that means I'm gifted.
nonamedufus said…
The similarity is I'm still not shaving, Mo. But I think it ends there. These days I wear clothes.
00dozo said…
"Look mommy! I made bubbles!" ;-)

Ha, ha! Yep, I'll bet you had a good time.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, that may explain the look on my face. Either that or my Mom just told me I didn't have to eat peas for lunch.
I don't really shave but I do wear clothes. It's an etiquette thing.
Although temperature IS a factor.

I've veiwed today's photos with some trepidation. I'm so glad you went with a photo of yourself from childhood. So glad.
nonamedufus said…
True, I suppose. But I always have an article of some clothing. I don't want to offend the neighbours. Or the family.
A REAL NUDE SHOT! WOOT!
nonamedufus said…
Well, yeah. I deliver on my promises.
Nora Blithe said…
Allow me to rephrase that: I'm very glad that no one put up a nude photo of themselves. So far, I'm not done going through them.

My Back Pages - November

I know, I know, I know I should have reported in before now. But sometimes real life just gets in the way. I attempted 5 books in November. I say attempted because I slapped a big DNF (did not finish) on Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon. I just can't seem to get into this guy. It's the second or third of his I've given up on, Not so the other four, starting with a biography of Stephen Stills called Change Partners. This followed by a hilarious biography of the guy responsible for National Lampoon called A Stupid and Futile Gesture - How Doug Kenney and National Lampoon Changed Comedy Forever. I ended the month reading yet another biography, this one of the man behind Rolling Stone magazine,. It was called Sticky Fingers: The Life and Times of Jann Wenner and Rolling Stone Magazine. A fascinating read. So last month I hit the magic number 50 I'd imagined for myself back in January. If I roll this month into my yearly total I'm at 54 books. And I still hav...

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy! ...
