30 Days of Photos - #12 - Fear

Welcome to 30 Days of Photos, where 18 bloggers are participating in posting a photo a day for 30 days. Here are the other 17 you can visit after you've been here:

And on Day 12 the photographer saw his shadow.

Know what that means?

I fear that there's still 18 more days of this frakkin' meme.

I'm not afraid of the frakkin' meme. I am afraid I'll got batshit crazy before the 30th.

Hmm, I actually managed to get this comment panel up before Disqus loaded...

I'd have thought your fear was peas - in fact, that was what I was expecting today.

HA! I was looking for signs of a tail or horns or something. However, whenever my shadow goes "boo?" I jump.

And THAT's a spooky image. heh heh
Frak me!

Yes, that's what I'm thinking now into Day 12 of this ordeal. The horror! The horror! That doesn't even begin to communicate my feelings toward this. ;) <-- Sort of.

Shadows always scare me, even when they are mine. (Maybe especially when they are mine!) Nice capture.

Not even half way through this insanity. I'm feeling your dread.

I like my shadow when it makes me look tall and thin. I guess April 12th from here on we will all gather to see if the duf sees his shadow.

Are you going to crawl back in your hole?

Hilarious! Absolutely, hysterically, funny! And that's NOT my painkillers talking!

How can you dread the next 18 days when we are all so excited out here waiting and watching for works of genius to appear?

I, too thought that you were going to make some declaration as to how much longer winter would last.

Actually, I had just peed before I took that shot.

I was actually photographing something else and when I turned and saw my shadow it just seemed so natural for today's theme. Scary, huh?

I thought it was time to make a frakin' statement about this silliness. Actually, I'm just foolin' with you. I have all but 3 pictures taken.
nonamedufus said…
This one scared me because it's so much bigger than me in real life. Damn you sun! It's like TV. The sun adds 30 pounds to you.
nonamedufus said…
Yeah, this thing has worried me thin. I'm a shadow of my former self.
nonamedufus said…
I'm fearful of my shadow getting any bigger than it already is.

Excuse me? Where the heck do you think I live? The only time I crawl is after spending the day drinking beer when my brothers and I get together. It's kind of humorous, actually. We take turns crawling to the fridge. This doesn't happen nearly enough.
nonamedufus said…
Well, it just seemed to come together. I don't want to "hog" all the credit though. A certain varmint kind of gave me the idea.

Works of genius? From me? Have you been visiting my site during the first 12 days, Cheryl?

I don't know, dufus, it seems like a pretty friendly shadow to me.. Now the 18 days left of this frakkin' meme thing, on the other hand, is scary as hell.
nonamedufus said…
Ha ha ha. I'm already there, my friend. They're coming to take me away, ha, ha...

Who knows how many more days of this meme thin we have to endure? The shadow knows!
But, but...I don't know where you're standing! Or what the history of that particular spot is! You're falling down on the job.
nonamedufus said…
Okay, okay. I'm standing on a path next to a soccer field down the road from my house. I'm facing northwest. It's the morning. Hence the shadow falling in the same direction. Happy now? Sheesh, some people.

Ha! Funny, but cruel. Very, very cruel. And just when I thought I was getting ahead of the game you strike fear into my heart. You bastard.

;-)

I can be like that sometimes. I don't know why or just where it comes from. It's really unlike me. But it's a dark side I have to live with. Now you know.

You make me laugh, Dufus. Nicely done. :-)

I just know if I open that youtube link I'll regret it so I may save this for another rainy day.

hahahahahahahaha! I have a feeling I'm going to have to bust out the doll again before this is all over!
nonamedufus said…
Well, I try for frak's sake.
nonamedufus said…
Oh, no. Not the doll. Please.

Well it's here when you need it.

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy!  You know what happens on Imagination D
