Another "series" I caught up on was the latest from Jeffrey Archer - the 3rd volume in the 5 book series of the so-called Clifton Chronicles. I've always liked Jeffrey Archer.
The problem with picking up on books that are part of a continuing series or saga, like Game of Thrones, is that one (especially old ones like me) forgets the previous storyline or main characters. Of course, that's not a problem with Game of Thrones because author George Martins keeps killing all the main characters off.
Last month I read the novel Candlemoth by R.J. Ellory and really enjoyed it. So this month I read Ghost Heart by him and, believe me, wasn't disappointed. This is one of my newly discovered authors that I really enjoy.
And I whipped through 3 Private Eye Elvis Cole novels by Robert Crais in May. These were good, quick reads. But I had to order the pocket books from Amazon because they weren't available in the ebook format.
I read Tony Visconti's autobiography this month. An American, Visconti moved to Britain in the 60s and produced T. Rex's Marc Bolan as well as David Bowie and others. The book provided an interesting glimpse into music production, hit-making and rock and role winners and losers.
So here's this month's list of books.
Tripwire - Lee Child
Best Kept Secret - Jeffrey Archer
Ghost Heart - R.J. Ellory
Sunset Express - Robert Crais
Indigo Slam - Robert Crais
L.A. Requiem - Robert Crais
A Dance With Dragons - George R.R. Martin
Bowie, Bolan and the Brooklyn Boy - Tony Visconti
The Ophelia Cut - John Lescroart
With the warm weather and the beckoning golf course, we'll see of I can increase next month's total. How about you? You reading much these days? What would you recommend to me?

And on the age thing? That's okay, I've come to accept it...even if my body hasn't.
