mmm. never heard that song before.
Damn... my laptop isn't broken, but it's so old that my flash player is out of date and it won't let me upload the version I need to play videos. But since I'm broke, I can't afford a new one. :-(
Can you sound like a broken CD?
It's from the 60s.
I can sing it for you... The lights turned on and the curtain fell down, And when it was over it felt like a dream, They stood at the stage door and begged for a scream, The agents had paid for the black limousine That waited outside in the rain. Did you see them, did you see them? Did you see them in the river? They were there to wave to you. Could you tell that the empty quivered, Brown skinned Indian on the banks That were crowded and narrow, Held a broken arrow?
A private concert! Thank you!
It is Neil Young and I don't have the whine down exactly.
Oh, I just LOVE Neil Young!!
He's one of my all time favourites too...much to my wife's dismay.
Fan-tas-tic take on this prompt! I adore Neil's voice no matter who he's singing with. I especially love him when he's solo. This is one terrific song too.
A Neil Young fan? There's more to you than meets the eye, Cheryl.
She doesn't like him? Why?
I asked her. She says she likes Neil Young. Just not when I play him 48 hours in a row.
I love Neil! And I love that song!
It's an oldie but a goodie. Like us.
Bravo - love the music!
I'm a big Neil Young fan. When I saw today's prompt this was the first thing I thought of. I know. I need a life.
You know what they say about arrows and time and fruit and flies, right?
Yeah, I do. And you forgot the banana.
surely before my time. ;)
She never forgets the banana.
Have you heard Neil's latest, NoName? It's fairly brilliant if you like his garage band sound as much as I do. In fact, one of things I most like about Neil is that he can go everything from country acoustic to grunge in the space of a heartbeat. I'm glad that broken blood vessel he had a couple of years ago didn't kill him. He's got a lot left to contribute.
It was Robin Williams who said "if you remember the 60s you weren't there".
I'm waiting for it to arrive from Amazon. These days I have to be careful not to double order things on both iTunes and Amazon. Man, I'm getting old. I agree with your assessment. Did you read his autobiography? Pure Neil.
She's talking about that wonderful Marx quote (Groucho, not the other one): Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana.
great take on the theme!
It was a little different, wasn't it?
Nice job, Noname. He's supposed to be in concert here in a few days.
Here too but I'm taking a pass. I've seen him 3 times in the last 3-4 years.
Broken record... PERFECT!
That's so funny. Like, 2 weeks ago I finally copied my Decade disks to my computer. Best Neil Young collection there is.
It's his early stuff. Yeah, it's a great collection. I'm looking forward to the next instalment of his Archives.
Broken record was me. Broken Arrow was him.
Aww Neil Young!! I have his stuff on CD but have yet to transfer them over to my computer. Thank you for the reminder.
I have somewhere in the area of 3,000 CDs and LPs. Do you know how long that might take me to digitize them? Did you know neil was working on a sonically superior digital download application. Yeah, it's called Pono. Sounds cool... http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/neil-young-expands-pono-digital-to-analog-music-service-20120927
