An existential patio table. I like it.

Yes, isn't that logical?

That looks inviting. Wish I could have found some time to head north.
nonamedufus said…
It's much more inviting without the falling leaves.

looks peaceful to me. now all i would need is 90 degree weather and a book. nice one
nonamedufus said…
Yeah it's nice out there in 90 degree weather. Now, not so much.

Hey, you know I'm going to fall all over myself... I always do. Seems like only yesterday Henry and I were admiring your leafless deck.
nonamedufus said…
To everything...turn, turn, turn...there is a season...turn, turn, turn
Pat Kumicich said…
the leaves look pretty scattered on the table and deck.
nonamedufus said…
Sure they look pretty now. It's when the rest fall and you have to pick them up they're not so pretty.

What's Irish and sits on your deck year round? Patty O'Furniture!
Lovely shot, duf!

Nice one, LM. Next week we'll be putting the furniture in the shed for the winter.

This photo shows your fun summer as well. I like this photo!

Those table and chairs get a lot of use in the summer.

I don't know why - but that table looks a little sad to me.
nonamedufus said…
It's sad because it's been abandoned.
meleahrebeccah said…
Yes! That IS why it looks sad!
nonamedufus said…
There's been a few beers had around that table too.
Ziva said…
What a lonely table. I want to sit down and have a drink, make it a little less lonely.
nonamedufus said…
You have an open invitation, Ziva. At least until it snows.
Danielle Batog said…
Are you going to have to 'winter' the furniture where you are? I would hate not being able to sit outside year round.
nonamedufus said…
Oh yeah we're in the land of ice and snow here. We'll put that set away in a week or so.
MikeWJ said…
I don't know if it's logical, but I like it. Hey, can I join you for a drink, too? I'd like that, NoName.
nonamedufus said…
Oh, absolutely, Mike. Can I get you a cold one?
Daniell's question was good - I didn't think about that. I help my mom bring in all her stuff... of course this year the guys will have to lift. Your shot actually makes me feel the "nip in the air".... very nice!

My powers of deduction tell me that you do not have a maple tree. I could be wrong though.
stoneskin said…
You should really clean all the leaves up off the veranda. It makes it look messy.
nonamedufus said…
Oh there's definitely a nip in the air these days.
nonamedufus said…
We have maple trees elsewhere in the yard. Those leaves are from an ash, which towers over our deck.
nonamedufus said…
We're getting to it. We're just waiting for all the leaves to fall first.

The Polka Dot Door

A long time ago, when I was 22, my first child was born.  That kid grew up on a little Canadian kid's show called Polka Dot Door, produced by the TV Ontario network.  And Dad, more often than not, sat through those shows with his little one. Nine or so years later when a brother, and a year after that when a sister came along number one son was moving on to Knight Rider and The Dukes of Hazzard.  But there was a nice overlap where his siblings picked up where he had left off with Polka Dot Door.  And Dad was right there to welcome them. So you're looking at a Polka Dot Door veteran.  The show began in 1971 and ran to 1993.  I didn't watch the full run but I did get in my fair share.  The formula was pretty simple.  A young male and female host, which seemed to change every week, sang songs, told stories, made crafts and generally did their best stimulate little brains.  The show opened as follows... Imagination Day!  Oh boy!  You know what happens on Imagination D
